There is nothing more satisfying in life than the moment you take a look back at everything you have and can’t help but be extremely grateful. Every day has its ups and downs, but as the downs become less frequent and the ups are higher highs than you’re used to, it’s a real easy roller coaster to deal with. Moving houses has been unexpectedly awesome- we’re right on Houghton Lake so I get to watch awesome sunsets on a nightly basis on the beach, my room is just the balls, decorated from wall to wall with the US Flag, Theta Chi flag, and other random things that bring everything together. And that’s just what’s happened, everything has been brought together. I started my (relatively) new job at McDeezy and it’s a piece of cake. Right across the street from my house, too. It’s a pretty awesome arrangement I’ve got to say.

It’s called a change over, the movie goes on and nobody in the audience has any idea.

But apart from that, I’ve just found a great place in my life recently. I rebuilt some bridges between me and an old best friend. Nothing in life is guaranteed. Me and my bro Max have also gotten a lot closer too. As soon as we drive off into the woods and read some books, it’s obvious that’s when he finally gets to open up. Not when he’s in school with his high school friends, or at home with his parents, but when we get some one-on-one time to just relax and let it rip. He’s the bomb.

You be the anchor that keeps my feet on the ground, I’ll be the wings that keep your heart in the cloud.

Oh yeah, there’s also this awesome girl named Jessie. You know how when you’re with certain people, your brain acts differently? You think differently than you normally would, make connections that you never expected to make, and can’t help but taken aback from the chemistry. Those moments are why we put ourselves through trial and error, time and time again. It’s all worth it when you can look into someone’s eyes, smile in silence, and appreciate everything that you’ve got. She’s making me Maize and Blue cupcakes for me on my birthday (Immediate keeper status) and although I’ve got work, it plans to be a great day! But it’s really just a teaser for Monday. Memorial Day. The day that I get to don my “America: Back to Back World War Champs” Pocket T and “Reagan Bush 84” koozie drenched with pride. Jessie, Max, and I are going to hang out at the beach all day, get a little boozed up, and enjoy the holiday. It literally spells out a perfect day to me.

This is the stuff that Summer Memories are made of.
